Build Your Bench

The smartest studio owners I've talked to maintain a roster of more instructors than they technically need. Not to pay them all full schedules, but to have options.

• Bring on 2-3 substitute instructors who want occasional classes
• Add them to your weekly availability form
• When they mark themselves available, they're signaling: "I'm ready if you need me"
• When a regular cancels, you have names and times already lined up
